CampervanX Membership & Platform Terms Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These Membership & Platform Terms ("Terms") govern membership of CampervanX and use of the CampervanX platform, including listing vehicles, requesting and accepting bookings, earning and using Travel Credits, making or receiving eligible cash payments, and participation by eligible commercial vehicle operators.

CampervanX is operated by Nomadified Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 04348947, whose registered office is 69 Lakes Lane, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 2JZ, United Kingdom ("CampervanX", "we", "us" or "our").

By becoming a member, listing or booking a vehicle, participating as a commercial operator, or otherwise using the CampervanX platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. What CampervanX is

CampervanX is a platform and community designed to connect owners, travellers and eligible commercial vehicle operators so that campervans, motorhomes and 4x4 adventure vehicles can be shared and booked.

Owners can make their vehicles available and, where supported by the platform, choose to receive eligible booking value through Cash, Travel Credits, or a combination of both.

Members can use eligible Travel Credits towards qualifying vehicle bookings through CampervanX.

Commercial vehicle operators may also list eligible vehicles under the Commercial Partner model described in these Terms or under any specific commercial terms agreed with CampervanX.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CampervanX provides the platform through which members, owners, travellers and commercial operators connect and transact.

CampervanX does not itself own the vehicles listed by independent owners or commercial operators.

2. Membership eligibility

To become and remain a CampervanX member, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;

  • provide accurate and current account information;

  • maintain only accounts you are authorised to operate;

  • complete any identity, vehicle, driving or other verification reasonably required by CampervanX;

  • comply with applicable laws and these Terms; and

  • satisfy any additional eligibility requirements applicable to a particular booking, vehicle, insurer or protection provider.

Creating an account does not guarantee that you will be permitted to drive, share or book every vehicle.

We may require additional checks before particular platform features become available.

3. Membership

CampervanX currently operates one core individual membership.

The current CampervanX membership fee is:

£10

The membership fee is payable when a member makes their first eligible booking through CampervanX.

There is currently no annual membership renewal fee.

The membership fee is separate from any booking fee, vehicle booking value, deposit, insurance or protection cost, or other charge that may apply to a particular trip.

Any applicable CampervanX booking fees will be displayed before a member confirms a booking.

CampervanX may introduce or change membership arrangements, pricing or platform features in the future.

Any materially different membership price, billing arrangement or recurring charge will be clearly presented before a member becomes bound by it.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory cancellation, refund or consumer rights that a member may have.

4. Founding 100

CampervanX may accept up to 100 qualifying founding members into its Founding 100 programme.

The current Founding 100 offer provides an accepted qualifying member with:

100 promotional Founding Travel Credits; and

Founding 100 member status.

1 Travel Credit = £1 of eligible CampervanX booking value.

Founding 100 members are subject to the same £10 CampervanX membership fee applicable to other individual members, payable when they make their first eligible booking.

An application does not guarantee acceptance into the Founding 100.

CampervanX may consider factors including vehicle eligibility, vehicle information, geographic coverage, member verification and the needs of the founding community when deciding whether to accept an applicant.

The 100 Founding Travel Credits are awarded only after the applicant has been accepted and their qualifying CampervanX account has been activated.

Submitting a Founding 100 application alone does not create an entitlement to the Credits.

The Founding 100 promotional Credit award may only be issued once per qualifying member.

Promotional Travel Credits remain subject to the Travel Credit provisions in these Terms.

5. Vehicles

An owner listing a vehicle confirms that they:

  • own the vehicle or have authority to make it available;

  • have provided materially accurate vehicle information;

  • will keep relevant information reasonably current;

  • will disclose material restrictions or issues affecting its safe or lawful use; and

  • will comply with applicable insurance, roadworthiness and legal requirements.

CampervanX may require supporting documentation before a vehicle can accept bookings.

A listing appearing on the platform does not itself mean that the vehicle has satisfied every requirement for a particular trip.

6. Availability

Owners control when their vehicles are available.

Owners should maintain accurate availability information and should not knowingly accept overlapping or incompatible bookings.

Availability shown on CampervanX may change until a booking is confirmed.

7. Bookings

A booking is subject to the information, pricing, fees and conditions presented during the booking process.

Before confirmation, members will be shown the relevant vehicle booking value, applicable CampervanX booking fee and the applicable Cash and/or Travel Credit components.

The current CampervanX traveller booking fee structure may vary according to trip duration and will be displayed before a member confirms a booking.

CampervanX platform fees will not be added to a confirmed booking without being disclosed before the member becomes bound by that booking.

Separate costs may apply where relevant, including insurance, protection, deposits, payment authorisations, tolls, fines or other vehicle or trip-related charges.

A booking is not confirmed merely because a request has been submitted.

Additional requirements may have to be completed before a booking can proceed, including identity, driver, vehicle, payment, deposit, insurance or protection checks.

8. Cash and Travel Credits

Where the platform supports it, an owner may choose to receive eligible booking value through:

Cash;
Travel Credits; or
a combination of Cash and Travel Credits.

The permitted mix may be subject to platform rules displayed when the vehicle or booking is configured.

CampervanX records the actual Cash and Travel Credit amounts allocated to a confirmed booking

Cash payment processing may be provided by a third-party payment provider and may be subject to that provider's terms.

9. Travel Wallet

Each eligible member may have a Travel Wallet within CampervanX.

The Travel Wallet records Travel Credit transactions associated with that member.

The transaction ledger maintained by CampervanX is the authoritative record of Credits awarded, earned, used, refunded, reversed, expired where applicable, or adjusted.

The Travel Wallet is not a bank account, payment account or savings account.

10. Travel Credits

1 Travel Credit = £1 of eligible CampervanX booking value.

Travel Credits can be used only for eligible transactions made available through CampervanX and subject to the conditions displayed for the relevant booking.

Travel Credits:

  • are CampervanX platform credits;

  • are not cash;

  • are not an investment or savings product;

  • cannot ordinarily be withdrawn or redeemed for cash;

  • cannot currently be transferred between members;

  • cannot be transferred outside CampervanX; and

  • have no independent cash redemption value.

The fact that one Travel Credit represents £1 of eligible booking value does not make a Travel Credit equivalent to £1 cash outside the CampervanX platform.

Purchased Travel Credits are not available at launch.

CampervanX may introduce additional Credit functionality in the future only under appropriate terms and subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

11. Earning Travel Credits

Owners may earn Travel Credits through qualifying vehicle bookings where they have elected to receive some or all eligible booking value in Credits.

Travel Credits are added to the owner's Travel Wallet following the applicable booking and transaction rules.

CampervanX may delay or reverse an award where a booking is cancelled, refunded, disputed, fraudulent or otherwise invalid.

12. Promotional Travel Credits

CampervanX may issue promotional Credits, including the 100 Founding 100 Travel Credits.

Promotional Credits may be subject to conditions disclosed with the relevant promotion.

Unless specific promotional terms state otherwise, Founding 100 Credits will not routinely expire.

Promotional Credits cannot be sold or exchanged for cash.

13. Credit expiry

Travel Credits earned through qualifying vehicle sharing do not currently have a routine expiry date.

CampervanX may introduce expiry conditions for future promotional campaigns, provided those conditions are clearly disclosed when the Credits are offered or awarded.

We will not retrospectively impose a new expiry date on existing earned Credits where doing so would unfairly remove value already earned by a member.

14. Refunds and reversals

Where a Credit refund is due, CampervanX will normally return the applicable Credits to the member's Travel Wallet.

For audit and security purposes, the original transaction may remain visible in the ledger and a separate refund or reversal transaction may be recorded.

This means a transaction history may show both the original use of Credits and the corresponding refund or reversal.

Cash refunds will be handled in accordance with the applicable booking terms, payment arrangements and statutory rights.

15. Cancellations

Cancellation terms applicable to a booking will be displayed during the booking process or otherwise communicated before the member becomes bound by them.

Refunds may depend on matters including when cancellation occurs, who cancels, whether a vehicle becomes unavailable and whether a booking has already commenced.

Nothing in a CampervanX cancellation policy limits statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Insurance and protection

A booking must not proceed unless the insurance and/or protection requirements applicable to that booking have been satisfied.

Depending on the booking model, cover may be provided through an owner, traveller, insurer, broker, protection provider or another approved arrangement.

Members must not assume that ordinary personal motor insurance automatically covers a CampervanX booking.

Before a vehicle is handed over, the parties must comply with the insurance and protection requirements displayed for that booking.

CampervanX may prevent, suspend or cancel a booking where required evidence is absent or insufficient.

17. Driver eligibility

Travellers must meet the driver eligibility requirements applicable to the particular vehicle and insurance/protection arrangement.

These may include requirements concerning:

  • age;

  • driving licence;

  • licence history;

  • endorsements or convictions;

  • country of residence;

  • driving experience; and

  • identity verification.

A member must not permit an unauthorised driver to operate a vehicle.

18. Handover and return

Owners and travellers must follow the CampervanX handover and return process applicable to the booking.

This may include recording:

  • Vehicle condition;

  • Photographs;

  • Mileage;

  • Fuel or charge level;

  • Keys and equipment supplied;

  • Existing damage or defects; and

  • Other information reasonably required for the booking or applicable protection arrangements.

Members should report material discrepancies promptly.

19. Mileage, fuel and other usage conditions

Owners may specify reasonable conditions relating to mileage, fuel, charging, pets, smoking, geographic use and other legitimate vehicle requirements.

Any material restriction or additional charge should be disclosed before the booking is confirmed.

Travellers are responsible for complying with the agreed vehicle conditions.

20. Damage, incidents and breakdowns

A traveller must promptly report any accident, theft, breakdown, material damage or other significant incident involving a booked vehicle.

Members must cooperate reasonably with CampervanX and any relevant insurer, protection provider, breakdown provider or competent authority.

Members must not knowingly provide false or misleading information concerning an incident or claim.

Responsibility for costs will depend on the circumstances, applicable booking terms and relevant insurance or protection arrangements.

21. Fines, tolls and charges

The traveller is normally responsible for fines, tolls, congestion charges, parking charges and similar liabilities arising from their use of the vehicle during the booking period, except where the liability arose through the owner's own act or omission.

Reasonable evidence may be required before a charge is passed to a member.

22. Deposits and payment authorisations

CampervanX or a payment/protection provider may require a deposit, card authorisation or other security before a booking begins.

The amount and applicable conditions will be disclosed as part of the booking process.

Deductions must have a legitimate basis under the applicable agreement and are subject to relevant consumer rights.

23. Commercial operators

CampervanX may permit eligible commercial vehicle operators to list multiple vehicles on the platform.

Commercial operators do not currently pay a CampervanX membership fee.

Standard Commercial Partner Rate

The standard CampervanX Commercial Partner Commission Rate is currently:

10%

The Commission Rate applies to completed bookings generated through CampervanX, subject to any specific commercial terms separately agreed with the operator.

Founding 100 Commercial Partners

CampervanX may accept up to 100 qualifying commercial operators into its Founding 100 Commercial Partner programme.

The current Founding 100 Commercial Partner Commission Rate is:

7.5%

This rate applies to completed bookings generated through CampervanX for qualifying Founding 100 Commercial Partners, subject to the eligibility requirements and any specific commercial terms agreed with CampervanX.

An application or registration of interest does not guarantee acceptance as a Founding 100 Commercial Partner.

CampervanX may consider matters including fleet eligibility, vehicle information, geographic coverage, availability, verification requirements, operational readiness and the needs of the CampervanX network when deciding whether to accept a commercial operator.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, commercial operators participate on a cash-booking basis and do not earn Travel Credits through commercial vehicle bookings.

Additional eligibility, vehicle, verification, payment, insurance, protection or operational requirements may apply and will be communicated to the commercial operator where relevant.

Any materially different commercial rate or commercial programme terms will be presented to the operator before they become binding.

24. Reviews and community conduct

Members must interact honestly, respectfully and lawfully.

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and must not knowingly contain false, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise unlawful material.

CampervanX may moderate content where reasonably necessary to protect members, the platform or legal rights.

25. Prohibited activity

Members must not:

  • use CampervanX fraudulently;

  • manipulate Travel Credits or bookings;

  • create false transactions;

  • circumvent platform safeguards;

  • misrepresent their identity or vehicle;

  • use another member's account without authority;

  • attempt to obtain Credits to which they are not entitled;

  • interfere with the security or operation of the platform; or

  • use CampervanX for unlawful purposes.

26. Suspension and termination

CampervanX may reasonably restrict, suspend or terminate access where necessary because of fraud, safety concerns, material breach, unlawful activity, verification failure or significant risk to other members or the platform.

Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

Serious fraud, safety or legal concerns may require immediate action.

Termination does not remove rights or liabilities that arose before termination.

The treatment of any remaining Travel Credits following termination will depend on the reason for termination, applicable law and the nature of those Credits.

CampervanX will not confiscate earned value arbitrarily.

27. Platform availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may maintain, modify or improve the platform from time to time.

Where reasonably possible, we will seek to minimise material disruption to confirmed bookings.

28. Our responsibility

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

CampervanX is responsible for providing its platform services with the standard required by applicable law.

Because vehicles are supplied by independent owners or commercial operators, CampervanX does not guarantee that every member, vehicle or trip will be free from problems.

However, this does not affect any responsibility CampervanX has under applicable consumer law.

29. Member responsibility

Members are responsible for losses they cause through fraud, deliberate misconduct, unlawful behaviour or material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

Members are not responsible for losses that they could not reasonably have foreseen or that were caused by CampervanX's own breach.

30. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of changes to the platform, law, regulation, security requirements or our services.

Material changes affecting existing members will be communicated appropriately before they take effect where required.

We will not rely on a change merely to remove accrued member rights unfairly.

31. Complaints and disputes

If you have a complaint, contact:

[email protected]

We will try to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

These Terms do not prevent a consumer from exercising statutory rights or using any dispute-resolution or court process available to them.

32. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable where a member lives.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any statutory right a consumer has to bring proceedings elsewhere.
